Versets 1-9

Verses 1-2: Il Signôr ur fevelà a Mosè e a Aron e ur disè (the Lord spoke unto Moses and Aaron and said unto them): i fîs di Israel si camparan ognidun dongje dal so stendart (the sons of Israel shall encamp each alongside his standard) cui simbui de famee dai siei vons (with the symbols of the family of his forefathers); si camparan torator (they shall camp round about), voltâts viers de tende de cunvigne (turned unto the tent of the convocation).

Verses 3-4: *A jevade* si camparà (unto the east shall encamp) il stendart dal campament di Gjude cu lis sôs schiriis (the standard of the encampment of Judah with his arrays); il sorestant dai fîs di Gjude al è Nacason, fi di Aminadab (the chief of the sons of Judah is Nahshon son of Amminadab), e la sô fuarce e je di setantecuatri mil e sîscent segnâts (and his might is seventy-four thousand and six hundred marked). — *Related vocabulary: a jevade (unto the east); a soreli a mont (unto the west); a misdì (unto the south); a miegegnot (unto the north). Miegegnot takes the spelling miezegnot in standardised form.

Verses 5-6: Dongje di lui si camparà la tribù di Issacar (alongside him shall encamp the tribe of Issachar); il sorestant dai fîs di Issacar al è Netaneel, fi di Suar (the chief of the sons of Issachar is Nethanel son of Zuar), e la sô fuarce e je di cincuantecuatri mil e cuatricent segnâts (and his might is fifty-four thousand and four hundred marked).

Verses 7-8: Po la tribù di Zabulon (then the tribe of Zebulun); il sorestant dai fîs di Zabulon al è Eliab, fi di Chelon (the chief of the sons of Zebulun is Eliab son of Helon), e la sô fuarce e je di cincuantesiet mil e cuatricent segnâts (and his might is fifty-seven thousand and four hundred marked).

Verse 17: Podopo si metarà in marce la tende de cunvigne (thereupon shall the tent of the convocation put itself in march) cul campament dai levits framieç di chei altris campaments (with the encampment of the Levites amidst those other encampments). A partissaran cul ordin che si jerin campâts (they shall depart in the order wherein they had encamped): ognidun tal so puest, cul so stendart (each in his place, each with his standard).

Verses 27-28: Dongje di lui si camparà la tribù di Aser (alongside him shall encamp the tribe of Asher); il sorestant dai fîs di Aser al è Paghiel, fi di Ocran (the chief of the sons of Asher is Pagiel son of Ochran), e la sô fuarce e je di *coranteun mil e cinccent* segnâts (and his might is forty-one thousand and five hundred marked). — *The Friulian, in point of fact, reads corantedoi mil e cinccent (forty-two thousand and five hundred), but this is in error; I have corrected the text to read coranteun mil e cinccent (forty-one thousand and five hundred). Verses 29-30: Po la tribù di Neftali (then the tribe of Naphtali); il sorestant dai fîs di Neftali al è Achire, fi di Enan (the chief of the sons of Naphtali is Ahira son of Enan), e la sô fuarce e je di cincuantetrê mil e cuatricent segnâts (and his might is fifty-three thousand and four hundred marked).

Verse 31: Il numar dai segnâts tal campament di Dan (the number of the marked in the encampment of Dan) al è duncje di cent e cincuantesiet mil e sîscent (is therefore one hundred and fifty-seven thousand and six hundred). Si metaran in marce par ultins (they shall put themselves in march last), seont i lôr stendarts (according unto their standards).

Versets 32-34

Verse 32: Chescj a son i fîs di Israel (these are the sons of Israel) segnâts seont lis fameis dai lôr vons (marked according unto the families of their forefathers). Ducj i oms che a forin segnâts (all the men who were marked) e che *a si sistemarin* tai campaments (and who settled themselves into the encampments) seont lis lôr schiriis (according unto their arrays) a forin sîscent e trê mil cinccent e cincuante (were six hundred and three thousand and five hundred and fifty). — *A si sistemarin takes the form si sistemarin in standardised Friulian.

Verse 33: I levits però (but the Levites), come che il Signôr i veve ordenât a Mosè (as the Lord had ordered Moses), no forin segnâts tal cens insieme cui fîs di Israel (were not marked in the census together with the sons of Israel).

Verse 34: I fîs di Israel a faserin (the sons of Israel did) daûr che il Signôr i veve ordenât a Mosè (accordingly as the Lord had ordered Moses); cussì si campavin seont i lôr stendarts (so would they encamp according unto their standards) e cussì si metevin in marce (and so would they put themselves in march), ognidun seont la sô gjernazie (each according unto his line) e seont la famee dai siei vons (and according unto the family of his forefathers).
